PEFC stands for Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes and is an international, independent label that promotes sustainable forest management. The ultimate goal of PEFC is clear: to ensure that all forests worldwide are managed responsibly and sustainably.

From sustainable forest to end product
With PEFC certification, forest owners demonstrate that their forest management meets PEFC’s strict sustainability criteria. Timber from these forests is marketed as PEFC-certified. Throughout the chain – from forest to end product – Chain of Custody-certified companies ensure that the origin of the wood remains traceable. Thus, PEFC wood finds its way into a variety of applications, such as magazines, books, paper, garden wood, construction wood and laminate flooring.
