LTL Woodproducts is de korte, gebalde naam voor Leyenaar Taapken Lamaker. Dit fusiebedrijf is in oorsprong al meer dan 115 jaar oud

De historie van LTL Woodproducts. LTL is de korte, gebalde naam voor Leyenaar Taapken Lamaker. Dit fusiebedrijf dat in oorsprong al meer dan 115 jaar oud is, ontstond uit de fusie van de houthandels Leyenaar Taapken BV en H. Lamaker’s Fijnhouthandel BV en betekende het huwelijk van een specialist in Noord-Amerikaans hout (Leyenaar-Taapken) met een expert in Europees loofhout als leverancier van de meubelindustrie in de Benelux (Lamaker). Ondanks de fusie is LTL altijd een familiebedrijf gebleven dat geleid wordt door Reinier Taapken die zelf leeft en werkt in de Verenigde Staten en er ook de LTL dochteronderneming Salamanca Lumber Comp. Inc. onder zijn hoede heeft.
